Roatan day 2

Woke up this morning to discover I died and went to heaven. Went jogging on the most breathtaking beach I’ve ever seen. Half way down the beach a cute dog joined me in jogging and made me feel right at home.

Got some snorkeling gear and went to the reef snorkeling. Since I am a first time snorkler I discovered real quick you cannot talk and breathe from your mouth underwater at the same time without chocking. I was saying “oh my god” to the beautiful fish swimming at my feet just besides myself at how pretty they were and ended swallowing half the ocean.

Decied to work for a while. Went and met with cecilia Chamber from Palmetto Bay Plantation about photographing destination weddings at their resort. The meeting went well and I am excited about the prospect of photographing destination weddings there.

Back at the beach, Floated on the ocean with a corona in one hand on my float for hours until I realized I will be swimming back to the US soon if I won’t start paddling back towards the shore.

The bartender disturbed the peace waving his hands and yelling to me that my lunch is ready and to come back to shore. Had a delicious grilled sword fish for lunch right there at the bar on the beach and then took off to the other side of the island to swim with the dolphins.

Dolphins feel like a wet mushroom – that description is courtesy of my dolphin buddy Matt, and i have to agree to that description. Besides that swimming with dolphins is a spiritual experience.

By the end of the day I was just snorkeling swimming by myself over the reef and out of no where 2 dolphins came and swam along side me. A third one joined and came up to me and gave me an underwater kiss on the chick. And then I realized it was 4 not 3 of them – the fourth one was a baby dolphin…we swam like that for a few minutes and they took off. Some of the best minutes of my life.

Sunset was incredible. Loving life - Rinat
