When I called Stephanie to let her know I will not be able to photograph her wedding in March 28th 2009 due to my move back to Israel just as I suspected she was devastated. I was too. I really enjoyed meeting her and her fiancé John, and was looking forward to photographing their wedding.
After some tears and the initial shock of the announcement were over with, Stephanie decided she still wanted me to shoot her engagement pictures, to which I gladly inclined. The three of us had a great time at the park, goofing around and enjoying the beautiful day while getting some great shots. Since I wasn’t going to be at the wedding I gave them some posing tips (pop quiz Stephanie & John: how do you put your hand in your pocket when posing for a picture?) which they were so happy to receive. We said our goodbyes by the cars and Stephanie said to me: “I was so sad you were not going to shoot my wedding, but overall I completely understand you wanting to be with your family. I would do the same thing if I were you”.
Stephanie & John: It’s so great I was able to shoot your engagement, and I wish you a wonderful wedding day and a happy ever after!
