So you think you can style?

One of my past brides, the wonderfully Irish Ingrid, is a hair stylist who’s wanted to get her hands on my curls since we’ve met. When I finally gave in and had her style my locks in the Bangz Park Avenue salon, upon seeing the results I could only wonder – what took me so long? I just LOVE the sexy, cute, chic hair style Ingrid gave me, and naturally now get to see her sweet face every 6-8 weeks or so for a trim as an added bonus.

Bangz Pak Avenue is so welcoming, and since Ingrid has my work – her wedding pictures - displayed around her station, I love it even more. Last time I came in I was on my way to drop off an enlargement I made for a flower shop. I was showing it off to Ingrid and there came Janie, the owner of Bangz, and on the spot asked me to photograph the “So you think you can style” competition coming up at Bangz.

I gladly accepted, and was there this past Thursday for the Bangz 25th anniversary party. The stylists were divided into teams of two and created some great hair styles for their models, who walked up and down the runway showing off the great work, graciously receiving applause from the audience.

Based on the audience’s votes, the stylist’s teams won “best of” and were handed these great looking awards by Janie’s husband John. Delicious food was served and good music completed the fun atmosphere, marking this event as “a successful venture”.

I obviously have a special place in my heart for one, who let alone was a joy to photograph on her wedding day, also gave me the best hair style of my life – so you know I must say - ask for Ingrid :-)
